What I do

I am a Person Centred Therapist, and believe that cultivating empathy and self-awareness can be key in navigating adversity. I have worked for 9 years in Mental Health support in Higher education, then with clients in domestic abuse and homelessness support organisations (areas of specific interest for me). It has been a privilege for me to witness clients become empowered to overcome the stress, anxiety & depression they face, and sow seeds of hope and confidence. Prior to working as a Therapist, I worked in the arts, live events & hospitality sectors. I take particular interest in supporting those working in these sectors.

It was the life changing benefits of Therapy I experienced as a client, that inspired me to qualify. Counselling can't fix all of the problems we encounter, but I believe that in being attentively understood, and supported in cultivating self-empathy & self-awareness, we can develop the confidence and resilience to get through many of the adversities we face

I believe that there are unconscious factors in the suitability of therapist to client. In order for clients to have confidence in a therapeutic relationship, the vibe has to be right. This is why an informal, free consultation is important. Following consultation, I'll leave the ball in your court, without any pressure, to decide what's best for you.
